Art of Roscoe
“a Gallery with Vision”
Welcome to the Art of Roscoe “STUDIO GALLERY” in the heart of Adelaide at LOT 14, REGENT ARCADE, just off Rundle Mall.

The STUDIO/GALLERY has core opening times from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm on weekdays (other times by arrangement).

“April in the Gallery – Landscapes That Matter”
This month the studio is featuring current works of meaning by Patrick McGirr, Li Peng, Natasha Miliotis, and Roscoe.
Middleton Fields – “We Like It The Way It Is”
A painting inspired by a community that like it the way it is. Paintings must come from the soul and this is the essence of the Middleton community. The fence is depicted because in our community we have a choice. It is about which side of the fence you place yourself.
“Title” – Patrick McGirr
Patrick brings his photo realism to some high quality paintings from Adelaide’s Botanic Gardens and some stunning outback scenes.
“Glenelg at Dawn” – Roscoe Shelton
Roscoe continues to capture the authentic Australian Landscape with works from Glenelg, Arkaroola and the outback.
“Kati Thanda” – Li Peng
We are privileged to have works by Li Peng. He is a highly credentialed photographer from Beijing and has produced some interesting perspectives of Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre) with aerial photography reproduced onto stainless steel.

“Swift Parrots” – Natasha Miliotis
Natasha has a real passion for endangered birds and is particularly renown for her works centred on the endangered Swift Parrot.
“A Privilege – The Clarice Beckett Collection”

These lovely paintings are now available in greeting card format, as a print or on canvas and ready to hang from Art of Roscoe. Both paintings have featured in major exhibitions around the country most recently at the Art Gallery of South Australia and The Geelong Art Gallery.

#200 Seacliff Moon at Dawn
We have sensational sunrises in Adelaide, this one is near the Seacliff Hotel featuring the clouds on the horizon and the moon with a wafer thin cloud. The reflected colour on the horizon presenting a challenge to do this scene the justice it deserves.

Arkaroola is a Special Place . . .
It is 55 years ago since Roscoe first visited Arkaroola. The rugged mountains, the unreliable and infrequent rain has produced a very challenging landscape. The elements challenge natures ability to survive. It is an area of much learning, understanding and inspiration.

#147 Mt Ward / Split Rock
A stopover on the famous Ridge Top Tour at Arkaroola. There is a ruthlessness in the landscape and yet a beauty.

#56
A rockpool at the opening of Bararrana Gorge. One of a number a waterholes in Arkaroola Creek that come to light in good years.
Each year I participate in some way with the SALA (South Australian Living Artist) exhibitions. In addition I present some of my favourite South Australian paintings for sale on the ShopSALA website.
SALA 2023 – Great successful exhibition with Journey Beyond (8 paintings) at the Keswick, Adelaide Parklands Train Terminal to celebrate Trail Travel. From Darwin to Adelaide, from Sydney to Perth and from Adelaide to Melbourne, the Art of Rail exhibition brought three artist’s interpretation of the journeys to canvas as part of SALA 2023.

Arkaroola
Arkaroola is one of those special places. It is a landscape that is rugged. It has to be robust to survive long periods without rain. It is a place that at once you can observe the stars, the turmoil of the clash of tectonic plates, the evolution of species into a harsh but wonderful environment. Learn more.
