Arkaroola – Landscapes That Matter
I like to spend time in my favourite landscape, wandering through the rock holes of Arkaroola, looking for any remnant water and any accompanying reflections, searching for inspiration. I understand connection to country here and aspire to bring an authentic expression of Arkaroola, to reveal the challenge within the landscape and the robustness needed to survive the long dry periods in this environment.

“Bararrana Hill, Arkaroola”
90 cm high by 60 cm wide,
oil on stretched canvas,
$2500
Bararranna Waterhole is a strenuos walk from Stubbs Waterhole. On the way, one comes to a lovely waterhole at a creek junction at the foot of bararranna Hill. This painting brings the ruggedness of Arkaroola that we can gaze at in awe.
